Ed Sheeran's "Old Phone" Pub Experience

Project Overview

When Ed Sheeran’s creative team and representatives from Atlantic Records approached us with an ambitious idea, the brief was anything but ordinary: create an authentic English pub in an empty parking lot in Ipswich, MA, in just 12 weeks.The fully operational pub would be open to the public, complete with a working kitchen and bar, while also functioning as a performance venue and video studio.

Then, the entire interior would need to travel cross-country and transform into a secret performance space at Coachella.Pink Sparrow (alongside an army of trusted vendors) brought the vision to life.

We designed and built the superstructure, exterior, and interior in time to secure permits; integrating full AV, HVAC, and all back-of-house systems required for a functioning tavern.To complete the experience, we curated vintage furnishings and memorabilia that reflected Ed’s story and captured the unmistakable warmth of a true local pub.
